What is oikos Copenhagen doing?
oikos Copenhagen is the local Danish chapter of an international student-driven organization that promotes sustainable economics and management education. We are the largest sustainability-related organization within the Copenhagen area. We are located at CBS, but our activities are not limited to CBS students and are open to any other students at higher education institutions, such as KU and DTU, as well.
All members of oikos Copenhagen become part of the global oikos network, which consists of students, faculty members, advisors and company partners. Located at higher education institutions, we want to transform education and research around the world, by embedding social and environmental perspectives.
oikos Copenhagen offers a platform for learning, networking and hands-on projects related to sustainability. The organization manages six different projects: oikos Case Competition, oikos Impact, oikos Effect, Social Pioneers, GreenWeek, Curricular Transformation.
The Relations Function
oikos Copenhagen is organized divided into functions and projects. Every project-team will consist of 6 members, each of them coming from different functions: Project Management, Communication, Finance, Engagement, Relations, and oikos Network.
The Relations function builds and maintains the external network of the organization. In the online database, we keep an overview of all the partners and contacts within the different projects. At the same time, we make sure that the contacts of the overall organization are managed. To ensure continuity of the organization, the Relations function will work on the funding strategy for the coming years with the Finance function.
We are recruiting!
Who are we looking for?
Candidates for the position of Relations Manager should be structured and well-organised. An eye for detail while at the same time overseeing the bigger picture is crucial in ensuring the best value for both our partners and the organization itself. Candidates should have a good sense for working in a team, to ensure interesting collaborations with our partners, also across projects.
Relations Managers should have a feeling for approaching new and existing partners in the oikos network. This also includes the active engagement in fundraising activities through direct applications or external relations.
Our official recruitment starts on 1 September 2019, but if you have questions either in terms of oikos or about the relations function feel free to contact Charlotte Cator under firstname.lastname@example.org
Application period: 1 September - 30 September 2019
